AFRICA WOMEN WEDNESDAY ONLINE 3/3s DISCOVERY BIBLE STUDY REPORT
Sister Lucy had reported the following:
We give thanks to God for the enriching Bible study session.
Our Bible study was centered on Genesis 47:1-22 (Jacob Blesses Manasseh and Ephraim), and was led by Sister Martha.
Mary Gondwe led the Church Health Circle practice, and goals for the group were set by Irene Ngobi. The session concluded with a prayer from Sister Joseline, who prayed over the requests that were shared.
Key Discoveries:
About God:
He reveals Himself to His people (v. 3).
He blesses His people (v. 3).
He delivers His people (v. 16).
He is discerning and knows what is to come.
He allows circumstances to unfold according to His will (v. 11).
About Man:
He has the ability to predict his future and his death.
He blesses his children.
He may have a favorite child among his children.
He has limited knowledge but still seeks to relate with God.
Command:
Be a blessing to others.
Example:
Never lose hope.
Bless your children and leave an inheritance for them (v. 22).
Listen to the Spirit of God for discernment.
The session was a spiritually uplifting Bible study, and we experienced a wonderful time of fellowship and reflection.
