GHANA 4 FIELDS DISCIPLESHIP TEAM WITH DOC TURK AND HIS GHANA TOGO MISSION TEAM FROM TEXAS, USA

Amen, Charles Odoi has reported the following.

The Ghana Gospel Chariot truck was supposed to work with us here in Togo from February 07-18, but it was refused entry into Togo. The West African borders have been tightened lately due to the recent various coup d’tat in the sub region.

The American Team arrived on Sunday with the Volta Team waiting for them. I joined them on the Sunday evening after the work with the UHAS Students in Ho. So we started work in the morning when a Team traveled up north to Tchamba, while the rest remained south.

This mission is actually to go round and strengthen the new congregations (Acts 14:21-22) we established last year when the Lord gave us a bumper harvest of over 4,000 souls between June to December.

After all the work last year, Brother John Akakpo, trained by George Akpabli in Benin, took the team to his home town, Manémakou in the Southeast part of the country, where about 200 souls gave their lives to Jesus. That actually wasn’t in the plan because the Americans were getting ready to leave. But because he organized that great work in the Guerin Kouka area, the team agreed to do him that favour.

This explains why a team stayed behind to visit and encouraged them first.

It was actually a Womens’ Day program at Manémakou. So a few of the men stayed while the rest visited the nearby communities. There were over 400 women in attendance and we had shortage of food. Remember we baptized only about 200 people, and now only women are more than 400. The 4-1-1 is really working and the people are bringing their Family and Friends.

The other Team that visited the nearby communities had 33 baptisms while those who stayed around to meet the men outside the Ladies program had 15 baptisms. So in all we baptized 33 here in the south. We met with the leading members of the church after the program and Brothers Doc Turk and John Morkli helped me to take them through the Church Health Circle. They were so excited and promised to do the ones they weren’t doing before. They all admitted they don’t give sacrificial and the love among them is not the best.

We got home late, tired, hungry and dirty, but very excited for what God had done through us.
