GHANA DAY 1 OF THE 4 FIELDS DISCIPLESHIP AND CHURCH MULTIPLICATION TRAINING AT YENDI
GHANA DAY 1 OF THE 4 FIELDS DISCIPLESHIP AND CHURCH MULTIPLICATION TRAINING AT YENDI
Amen, Charles Odoi has reported the following……….This team can travel and work. Let’s pray
The Ghana Team, in the persons of Charles Odoi, Solomon Mireku and Job Tilabi arrived in Tamale on March 06, and picked Brother Francis Afrifa Konadu along to Yendi on the same day. Brother Francis, Together with our 2 Hosts - Brothers Andrews Alhassan (Yendi) and George Dassah (Tamale) were at the African Discipleship Conference in December, 2021.
Day 1 of the Training ended with much excitement from both Trainers and Participants. The 23 Participants, representing various communities in and around Yendi, were so excited telling us about what they have learned and how they’re going to use it in multiplying disciples for the Master. Most of them said their ‘Take-home’ is the Jesus’ Story in Circles; others said they were blessed to have learned that Jesus wants them to be Disciples and not Christians; there were others also who liked the Baptism Hammer more.
The church has been in the Yendi township since 1983. Yet only 10% of the people are close to God. The remaining 90% are either Moslems or Idol worshippers. The participants were encouraged to use the Jesus’ Story in 3 Circles to change this unfortunate statistics.
Brothers Job and Francis also expressed their excitement for being able to Train alongside Brothers Charles and Solomon. Brother Francis for instance, said, the Tools and Concept are now making greater sense to him as he now understands them better than he first learned them in December. He has lots of preachers he mobilizes to work with in various parts of the country and beyond, so he’s keen on introducing this to them as he works together with Brothers George Dassah of Tamale and Andrews Alhassan of Yendi to train them.
Unfortunately, one of the participants was involved in a motor accident on his way to the Training. This made Brother Andrews miss most part of the Training as he was called to go and assist in his treatment. By the grace of God, the Brother received treatment and was discharged later in the day. He was taken home to rest and was assured of being trained later by the participants.
We’re getting ready for Day 2, as we expect the participants to begin their practice.
Thanks for all those involved for your encouragement and support in multiplying disciples for the Master.
