GHANA TOGO 4 FIELDS DISCIPLESHIP AND CHURCH MULTIPLICATION TRAINING REPORT
IT PAYS TO BE INTENTIONAL AND ITS GREAT TO WORK IN ONE’S JERUSALEM
Brother Charles had reported the following:
”But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
(Acts 1:8, NKJV).
We resolved at annual disciplers retreat of 2023 to focus on Church Planting, starting from our Jerusalem. I am happy to report that 100s of churches have been planted in Ghana and Togo as we get ready for the 2024 retreat. With lost souls in mind and intentional about our Jerusalem, the Accra team has planted 5 new churches in Accra - Ablorman, Ogbojo, Boi, and 2 at the Afienya area. This was done with the help of the Gospel Chariot Team. Also, among the trainers, many have used the tools to grow their congregations, whipping up interest for evangelism in the churches. Some are also creating small groups on the Zonal level to continue the kingdom expansion business. Praise be to God.
Aside this focused church planting effort, the Accra team has intentionally worked among the Accra churches to train the 4 Fields Discipleship Training and Church Multiplication model. One of the most interesting things is that most of the training within Accra is being done by our Timothys with little assistance from us. We have also done leadership training for the churches in Accra, focusing on the leadership tools and some practice. We know a lot is being done in the other areas too besides Accra.
One of the things we found common with the leadership training especially, was that, most of the leaders had no idea why they were leaders and did not have any specific plans or strategy in growing their churches. Having realized that God has given them as gift to the church to equip (provide tools) and edify (build up) the brethren to do their ministry of reconciling the world to God (Ephesians 4:11-13; 2 Corinthians 5:18-21), many of them are calling for more. We don’t know what 2025 will bring, but with lost souls in mind, we are ready to follow in His footsteps and go wherever He sends us.
