GLOBAL EFFORTS IN THE 4 FIELDS DISCIPLESHIP AND CHURCH MULTIPLICATION TRAINING IN CAMBODIA

REPORT FROM AMF, SIEM REAP - CAMBODIA

*”When the congregation was dismissed, many of the Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who talked with them and urged them to continue in the grace of God.”* (Acts‬ ‭14:43, NIV‬‬).

The annual Asia Mission Forum (AMF) gathered 14 countries from Asia and some American Missionaries working in the world’s most populous continent for 6 days in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The 89 participants were hosted by Brother Phanat Ouch of Battambang, Cambodia, a beneficiary of the 4 Fields Discipleship Training. Everyone was excited about the wonderful work he and his wife, Aya put in place for the conference.

We were blessed to have our own Wayne Funk as the Keynote Speaker, who opened the session on Thursday night and closed same on Monday night, speaking about 3 times more within the main session. The theme for the forum was “Building the Kingdom of God” - 1 Corinthians 3:9-15. Knowing that this is not a GCM/GSM program, Brother Wayne was careful not to push the 4 Fields Discipleship tools through in his presentation. However, there was no way any 4 Fields Discipleship trainer would talk about the Kingdom of God without chipping in a tool or 2. There were other speakers from America and Asia who took turns to encourage the gathering with their various topics.

There were other 4 Fields Discipleship trainers and enthusiasts like Brothers Chito Luis, a respected brother from the Philippines , Dayakar, Anil Kumar, and Vijay from India , Jobert also from the Philippines and a few others. Brothers Jobert and Anil had the opportunity to speak about their ministry and both of them did extremely well selling the GCM/GSM. Brothers Phanat Ouch and Charles Nii Odoi spoke on Building the Foundation and Multiplying the Kingdom respectively, and both of them openly enhanced what the earlier trainers had done by going all out on the 4 Fields Discipleship tools and what God is doing across the globe with it.

In all, I’ll say we have built many relationships and connected with some key people in the kingdom. Also, the feedback from most of the participants have been great on our work and many people have asked questions to enrich their understanding of the tools. We have also had several invitations from places like Nepal, Mumbai and others which would be prayerfully considered later through God’s guidance. Obviously there would be few others who think we are ‘pushy.’ Let’s keep praying for them so God opens their eyes to the depth of lostness in Asia and the rest of the world so to understand our passion.

The next AMF conference has been scheduled to take place in Philippines, and we’ll keep praying for God to open our eyes and doors to be clear on what He wants us to do. Let’s keep praying for one another as always.
