KENYA GOSPEL CHARIOT MISSIONS OUTREACH AND 4 FIELDS DISCIPLESHIP MULTIPLICATION TRAINING
Amen , Brother Opondo reported the following:
We set base in Sotik Sub-County of Bomet County South Rift. Over the last six days, the vibrant town of Sotik witnessed an extraordinary display of faith, unity, and collaboration as local preachers and GCM evangelists joined hands in a remarkable mission. Their joint efforts in evangelism and discipleship bore abundant fruit, transforming lives and leaving an indelible impact on the community.
The mission in Sotik was meticulously planned and executed, with the primary goal of reaching out to individuals across all walks of life, regardless of their background or beliefs. Local preachers, who had an intimate understanding of the community, and GCM evangelists, with their passion and expertise, worked together seamlessly. Various evangelistic activities were organized, including vibrant street processions, open-air crusades, visit to secondary school, and personal home visits.
The results of the mission were awe-inspiring. Over the course of six days, countless individuals responded to the call of faith and experienced a profound transformation in their lives. The joint efforts of the local preachers and GCM evangelists created an atmosphere conducive to spiritual growth, inspiring people to examine their lives and make choices that aligned with their newfound faith. Not only were individuals led to embrace Christianity, but the mission also emphasized the importance of discipleship. Local preachers and GCM evangelists worked diligently to ensure that new believers were nurtured and equipped to grow in their relationship with God. Small group gatherings, mentoring sessions, and Bible studies were organized to provide ongoing support and encouragement.
The success of the mission in Sotik can be attributed to the remarkable unity displayed by the local preachers and GCM evangelists. Instead of working in isolation, they chose to set aside any differences and collaborate for a common cause. This unity fostered a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect, enabling them to effectively communicate the Gospel and demonstrate the love of Christ. The collaboration between the local preachers and GCM evangelists also left a lasting impact on the community itself. The unity they displayed was a powerful testament to the transformative power of faith, transcending barriers and prejudices.
Beyond the individual transformations, the joint efforts of the local preachers and GCM evangelists sparked a wave of positive change within the community of Sotik. Many individuals impacted by the mission chose to share their faith with others, creating a ripple effect that extended far beyond the initial outreach. Using Tool #1: Relational Map believers made sure that their relatives found a share of the goodness of Christ. Thanks to Mosés Ngeno, minister at Sotik Town Church of Christ who led us to five Churches of Christ congregations, one primary school, one secondary school, and Bureti Teachers College.
The successful mission outcome in Sotik stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and unity in advancing the Gospel. The joint efforts of local preachers and GCM evangelists created an environment where lives were transformed, faith was deepened, and the community experienced positive change. The impact of this mission will continue to reverberate throughout South Rift, reminding us all of the profound effect that can be achieved through joint evangelism and discipleship efforts. In all these mission activities, God receives all glory. May the Lord continually bless His work, and bring more workers in His Kingdom.
God is praised!
Tom Opondo.
