REPORT OF THE NIGERIA GOSPEL SHARE CONFERENCE HELD ON FRIDAY, MAY 10, 2024 @ COC, KADO, ABUJA, NIGERIA

Brother Biodun had reported the following:

The conference was called to sensitise L3 leaders who have been involved in the 4 Fields Discipleship Multiplication Training across the country in the last four years on the need for the emergence of baby churches.

L3 leaders from the six geo-political zones of the country were represented at the gathering.

Participants were intimated of the new focus of the Gospel Share Mission in intentional discovery and entering of houses of peace to start small Bible study groups using the Sword Method. Each small group is expected to be nurtured into a baby church to the glory of God.

While discipleship training will still continue, the tempo will however significantly be reduced to give adequate attention to starting small Bible study groups which will metamorphose into baby churches.

This shift of emphasis, they were informed, will make for accountable efforts and multiplication of churches which is the main purpose of the Gospel Share Missions.

Participants were also convinced with copious examples from the book of Acts how the best form of evangelism is church planting, which informs the new direction.

There was also a session on financial accountability and how to prepare simple spreadsheet to help them to be accountable for funds released for the purpose of nurturing the emerging baby churches.

The conference also acquainted the participants on the importance of sending weekly reports accompanied with appropriate pictures.

The participants supported the vision for the new direction and promised to start baby churches using the Sword Method in their various contexts immediately.

They also saw the need to go back and pass the message down to their Timothys for replication and multiplication.

The meeting went through the latest PowerPoint on the Sword Method with the participants for emphasis. Participants also took time to present updates of the work in their various zones to the gathering.

Thirty-four (34) participants across the country attended the conference and were well motivated to go back home to commit what has been committed to them in the hands of able men who will in turn teach others.
