TANZANIAN DAR ES SALAAM DAY THREE OF THE 4 FIELDS DISCIPLESHIP MULTIPLICATION TRAINING

We have reached the third day of Disciple Multiplication Training at Temeke Church of Christ, Dar es salaam. Thanks to our Lord for blessing the meeting in a way that participants are willing to Go and Make Disciples for Christ.

It’s an honor to listen to men and women regret of their past-inability to see what God wanted to be done. I’m grateful that a strong team of passionate evangelists take the Four Fields Disciple tools for use in the their church communities. They say the timing is good as many preachers had become uncomfortable with the pace of evangelism and Discipleship. Today the command to Go is clear, and they promise to test these tools when opportunity arises. That’s good attitude!

We had over 60 evangelists and other church leaders in the training. As city dwellers in all nations, they would brought excuses for not attending the training, but they asked their bosses to excuse them just for 3 days. They really wanted to hear this new thing that keep popping up on Facebook and other social media. We put a bunch of manuals in the hands of every preacher, and they are happy. Francis, former missionary in Arusha and Dar made comments such as “This new Dar ... if congregations in Dar catch the dream then Tanzania is covered”. Justin and I have agreed to open up a platform Swahili speaking Christian to practice the tools. In this way, they will be able to perfect their skills in sharing these biblically and simplified disciple making tools. It’s out of this group that a band of trainers will scatter to different regions of the vast land of Tanzania. Brothers, I’m grateful to God for this breakthrough. Again, the 13 congregations in Dar es salaam feels they have done minimal work in evangelizing Dar es salaam because Churches of Christ just covers a 0.014% in a population of 7 millions. I could see internal rebellion to what hinders sharing the Good News. All in all, the new sound in town especially among Churches of Christ is being and making disciples for Christ. God be praised for what He’s done already for He’s yet to do in lives of Christians and Non-Christians.
